Singtel Go TV

Singtel Go TV

As part of Nokia Partnerships, I designed the core UX for Singtel’s ‘Go TV’, a streaming service for big screen, tablet and mobile devices. Singtel are one of the largest telecommunications giants based in Singapore and cater for the Asian market.

Big Screen Application

There were three main concept goals to creating this application:

1) make it 'asian' friendly (lots of screen info
2) house lots of content that can be easily accessed by the user and
3) utilise the technology that enables the user to browse while watching.

We did a quick workshop to determine the ordering and hierarchy plan to fit with the main requirements. Then worked on a ‘tier’ system' to enable users to easily play straight away or browse away.

I was then able to create mocks with existing assets to give a quick visual (on brand) idea of what we were biulding for the prototype.

I then included swim lanes (Discovery), info page (also featuring discovery content) and playback. As this was being built around an existing Freesat framework, they were curious to see how it would work with the red style and the functionality that was already in place, so I mocked up a TV guide screen.

Mobile design

The mobile design needed a different treatment of discovery and content - a smaller screen but also a whole new way of interacting. I added a feature so that the user can switch between live TV and Discovery. Then laid out all the possible journies.
